Singer Susan Boyle joins stars in top 5 viral videos

SYDNEY (Reuters) – British singing sensation Susan Boyle, who became an overnight star with her surprising performance on a British talent show, has made the top 5 in a list of the most watched viral videos of all-time.
Visible Measures, which measures the use of online videos across more than 150 video-sharing sites, has compiled a list called the “100 Million Views Club” which is of online videos that have topped the 100 million viewership.

LOS ANGELES – Rosie O’Donnell had been taking a break from blogging on her official Web site, Rosie.com, but last month she made an exception, putting up a post about “Britain’s Got Talent” breakout star Susan Boyle.
The clip of the Scot, hitting the stage in a lacey dress, uncolored hair and a surprisingly beautiful voice, touched even O’Donnell, and the former “View” moderator hit her Web site to rave about the singing sensation. But in a new interview on the set of Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva,” which O’Donnell is appearing in as a guest star, she said the Boyle from the YouTube clip is gone.

As “Britain’s Got Talent” superstar Susan Boyle rides her unlikely wave of fame, we can only imagine that she’s been getting flooded with offers left and right. How about a reality show? We’ve come up with some ideas …
“Boyle-ing Points”: Remember the MTV show, “Boiling Points”? You know, that candid-camera game show where people got cash for keeping their cool with annoying improv actors in disguise? Well, this time it’s Susan Boyle who’s turning the tables, putting on the fake mustaches and wearing the wigs to play out the pranks as the “pestering waiter”! (However, if her 15 minutes of fame doesn’t last, she may not need a disguise … )

Apparently, Susan Boyle has always had talent.
A 25-year-old video of the “Britain’s Got Talent” star performing onstage at a local Scottish club at the tender age of 22 recently surfaced on the Internet.
In a clip posted on the Web site of Scotland’s Daily Record newspaper, a slender and fresh-faced Boyle sings “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” from “Jesus Christ Superstar” and Barbra Streisand’s “The Way We Were” in the Fir Park Social Club singing contest.

It was bound to happen: Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle will appear on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on Monday.
And what luck? Just in time for May sweeps.
Winfrey’s production crew descended on Boyle’s Blackburn, Scotland, home on Tuesday and spent several hours getting a Boyle-guided tour of the place and interviewing her neighbors.
