Apparently, Susan Boyle has always had talent.
A 25-year-old video of the “Britain’s Got Talent” star performing onstage at a local Scottish club at the tender age of 22 recently surfaced on the Internet.
In a clip posted on the Web site of Scotland’s Daily Record newspaper, a slender and fresh-faced Boyle sings “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” from “Jesus Christ Superstar” and Barbra Streisand’s “The Way We Were” in the Fir Park Social Club singing contest.

Susan Boyle’s Brother Wants ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ To Let His Sister Go

Let our Susan go! So goes the chant from the brother of Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle.
John Boyle, 59, has spoken out to British tabloid Daily Star about his frustration that his sister has not been able to perform in public since her star-making rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” during the reality competition “Britain’s Got Talent.”

Britain’s Got Talent may have been Susan Boyle’s big break, but it wasn’t her first foray into the reality-contest genre. Back in 1995, she auditioned for the Star Search-ish My Kind of People. Host Michael Barrymore wasn’t as impressed as Simon et al:
Is this classless and sort of degrading? Yeah, absolutely. But I’m not sure that what Barrymore is doing is so different from how most shows treat a lot of their contestants.

Early recording of Britain’s Got Talent’s Susan Boyle unearthed

The 48-year-old recorded two songs ten years ago and distributed them to only a handful of her closest friends in the village of Blackburn, West Lothian, where she lives alone with her cat.
The recording, which was unearthed by Telegraph.co.uk, features two songs – an early version of the blues ballad Cry Me a River and Killing Me Softly with His Song, the track immortalised by Roberta Flack in 1973.
Last week the Daily Record newspaper in Scotland uncovered Miss Boyle’s first CD recording – a version of Cry Me a River recorded for a millenium charity compilation CD at Whitburn Academy.
